The votes have been counted, the Pick My Project results are in - and it's an amazing result for our sector!

10 neighbourhood houses have received a combined total of over $1.1 million in State Government funding to deliver a diverse range of projects for their local communities.

Pick My Project is a $30 million community grants initiative empowering Victorians to come up with project ideas that will help make their local community an even better place to live, then vote for their favourite project ideas to be funded.

The successful projects have developed project plans and signed funding agreements with the State Government. They will now start working to deliver their projects across the state.

Projects will complete at various times over the coming months, up until June 2020.

• South Barwon Community Centre 
  Transition Streets Geelong - $150,000
• Park Orchards Community House and Learning Centre 
  New space for children’s play, adults connecting and learning– $170,000
• Koonung Cottage Community House 
  Dementia café initiative - $75,500
• Wonthaggi Neighbourhood Centre at Mitchell House 
  Rail Trail Illumination Project - $198,429
• Manna Gum Community House 
  Pearl Park Community Festival - $27,825
• Kensington Neighbourhood House 
  Kensington Mental Health Support Group - $23,520
• Castlemaine Community House 
  Disability access for regional swimming pools - $36,000
• SPAN Community House 
  Compost depot project - $200,000 
• Brunswick Neighbourhood House 
  Brunswick food forest - $59,738
