Ben Cryan

We've all been through an incredibly tough year - the kind of year none of us could have ever seen coming. As role models within our communities, how we bounce back from this period of great adversity is really important. This is why the story of Ben Cryan is so inspiring.

In January 2011, while on a surfing holiday, Ben's life was forever changed after falling from his surfboard onto a coral reef. What followed was nothing short of a miracle, with three medical evacuations, 34 operations, two strokes, a kidney transplant and being told he would never walk again. Ben’s strength and determination have seen him overcome the greatest obstacles with a new perspective on life. His inner strength, courage and never say no attitude through adversity is credit to his character and there is certainly something in this story for everyone.
