Projects 2027
Parliament of Victoria, in partnership with Neighbourhood Houses Victoria, is offering grant funding for Neighbourhood Houses to promote and provide education and/or experiences around civic participation, engagement with parliament and understanding of democracy in their communities.
Applications are now open, and close 30 October 2027.

You, Me & MPs Toolkit
This toolkit aims to answer some of the questions you may have about the Parliament of Victoria and your local Member of Parliament (MP). You'll find a range of videos and resources that explain how our democratic systems work and how you can get involved.
Possible Activities
This is a list of resources and experiences that could be incorporated into project ideas. It also incorporates a list of resources, but can guide you about the possibilities for future or external funding streams.
Information
Each successful Neighbourhood House will receive up to $3,000 to run their their project.
Successful applicants will receive 80% of the funding once the funding agreement is signed prior to the project, and the remaining 20% upon completion.
Timeline
Applications open: 8 September 2026
Applications close: 30 October 2026
Applicants notified of outcomes: late November 2026
Kick off meeetings: Jan/Feb 2027
Projects must take place: between 15 February 2027 and 15 June 2027.
Acquittals due: 3 weeks after completion of the project, or 30 June 2027, whichever is sooner.
