Neighbourhood Houses Victoria’s strategic direction is an adaptive strategy; it will respond to changes in the environment, new opportunities and new information. If the past three years taught us anything, it’s to expect the unexpected.

Key Streams:

‘Own’ connection:

Build the profile of neighbourhood houses as places of connection both informally and formally as part of funded social prescribing programs.

Support wellbeing:

Develop a sector wellbeing strategy and support individual managers’ wellbeing through locum manager model and other supports.

Diversify funding and revenue:

Advocate for sustainable models for existing funding and diversify funding through partnerships, tenders and service expansion.

Evolve governance:

Evolve NHVic entity structure, purpose and board composition for sustainable growth and possibly DGR status.
