What We Do
Advocacy
An important role of Neighbourhood Houses Victoria is to advocate on behalf of the Neighbourhood House sector to achieve outcomes that:

protect the future sustainability of the sector

ensure Neighbourhood Houses are considered and/or included in future policy decisions
-
provide Neighbourhood Houses with opportunities to reach their potential as community development leaders
​
Awards
Each year we run the NHVic Awards program to recognise and celebrate the valuable work of Neighbourhood Houses on a state-wide level.
​
The six categories are each linked to several of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals to demonstrate the impact of local action in meeting the aims of the global goals.
