Disability Self Help Grants Program

Amount: Up to $7,000

Description: Grants of up to $7,000 per year for 1 or 2 years are available to help disability self help groups to run (a total maximum of $14,000 over 2 years).

Tiny Towns Fund

Funding body: DJSIR

Amount: Between $5,000 and $50,000

Description: The Tiny Towns Fund supports local communities to deliver quality tourism and community facility projects, such as splash parks and bike trails, playgrounds, community hall and library upgrades, public art and more. Towns with populations of up to 5,000 people in the 48 local government areas of regional Victoria are eligible to apply, as well as Alpine Resorts and towns in Melbourne’s 10 interface outer metropolitan local government areas.

In a Good Place (IAGP)

Funding body: FRRR

Amount: Up to $20,000

Description: The In a Good Place program gives small remote, rural and regional communities (with populations under 10,000) across Australia, particularly farming communities, the opportunity to access funds for a broad range of community-driven projects, services, activities or initiatives, which clearly and directly focus on strengthening mental health, social / emotional health and wellbeing.

Community Child Care Fund

Funding body: Department of Education

Amount: Up to $600,000

Description: The objective of this grant opportunity is to support the longer-term sustainability of eligible approved ECEC services providing care to communities experiencing disadvantage or vulnerability, particularly those in currently under-served or unserved regional, rural and remote areas.

Description: The TAC Road Safety Grant Program is designed to support community groups and organisations to develop and implement effective community-based road safety projects.

Description: FRRR and our donor partners collaborate with ABC Heywire to help empower communities and young people to take action on issues that matter most to them, as identified at the annual Heywire Regional Youth Summit.

Amount: Up to $10,000

Description: The Strengthening Rural Communities (SRC) Small & Vital stream gives small remote, rural and regional communities across Australia the opportunity to access funds for a broad range of initiatives that directly and clearly benefit local communities.

Strengthening Rural Communities - Prepare & Recover

Funding body: FRRR

Amount: Up to $25,000

Description: The Strengthening Rural Communities (SRC) Prepare & Recover program supports communities in remote, rural and regional communities across Australia to implement initiatives that prevent and prepare for future climate related impacts, or recover from existing disasters in the medium to long-term timeframe, generally one to ten years after the disaster.

Rebuilding Futures

Funding body: FRRR

Amount: Up to $20,000

Description: The program provides grants for local not-for-profit community organisations to undertake community-identified and community-led recovery activities that can strengthen resilience and enable projects for building back better to reduce the impact of future disasters on community wellbeing and physical infrastructure.

Community Led Climate Solutions

Funding body: FRRR

Amount: Up to $75,000

Description: Community Led Climate Solutions Projects must support remote, rural and regional communities to act locally to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help address the impacts of climate change for positive and sustainable environmental, social and economic outcomes.

2026 Victorian Training Awards

Closes: 16 April 2026

Description: The Victorian Training Awards recognise and honour the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations in the Victorian TAFE and training sector. The awards are open to individuals, businesses and training providers and span across 13 categories.

Investing in Rural Community Futures (IRCF) is a grassroots program that aims to build the capacity of not-for-profit (NFP) organisations.

​

After being delivered in eight NSW communities, the program is now running in the Victorian communities of Colac, Maryborough and Swan Hill, thanks to the support of Helen Macpherson Smith Trust, The Jack Brockhoff Foundation, The Ross Trust and The William Buckland Foundation.
