What we do Projects National Science Week The Royal Society of Victoria (RSV) in partnership with NHVic offer grant funding to Neighbourhood and Community Houses and Centres around Victoria to produce, advertise and deliver events for National Science Week every year in August. The diverse program of activities all have an underlying focus on sustainability and citizen science. Neighbourhood Houses Victoria wishes to thank Inspiring Victoria, an initiative of The Royal Society of Victoria and the Federal Government, for this wonderful funding opportunity. What is the National Science Week? National Science Week is Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology. The annual week is all about encouraging creativity and innovation when planning an event or program. It is a great opportunity for Neighbourhood and Community Houses and Centres to be part of Inspiring Victoria's National Science Week, with activities aligning with the United National Sustainable Development Goals. There were no restrictions in terms of topics, audience, venue or format for Neighbourhood Houses who received past grants. However, all applications for Science week events needed to fulfil the National Science Week objectives to promote and encourage interest in science, engineering, mathematics, technology and innovation; and communicate the relevance of them in everyday life. Keep an eye out for 2023 grant application in June 2023. 2022 National Science Week You can view a list of what events and programs Neighbourhood Houses delivered in 2022 here: View Here 2021 National Science Week You can view a list of what events and programs Neighbourhood Houses delivered in 2021 here: View Here
