Food Hub Grants

Amount: $150,000 - $750,000
Description: Offering up to 10 not-for-profit organisations between $150,000 and $750,000 to deliver a project from July 2022 to June 2025 which aims to:

  • establish new Food Hubs, OR
  • expand the operations of existing Food Hubs

A Food Hub is a community-led, physical space where food is sold to the community. The primary purpose of Food Hubs is to increase access to, and availability of, nutritious, fresh, affordable and culturally appropriate food to a local community. These Food Hubs will be located in regional and rural Victoria and outer-metropolitan Melbourne (Wyndham, Melton, Hume, Whittlesea, Cardinia Shire, Casey, Mitchell).

Community Shade Grants

Applications close: 10 June 2022
Funding body: State Government
Amount: Up to $50,000
Description: Eligible community organisations can apply for grants of up to $50,000 for shade development and can include up to $700 for sun protection items (including GST). Applicants may also request up to $700 for sun protection items only.

Description: To help eligible public-facing small businesses to improve building ventilation in areas accessible to customers and reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19.

Amount: Up to $80,000
Description: For the construction or refurbishment of men’s sheds across Victoria. These grants will help men’s shed groups to ensure that their facility is the right environment for participants to carry out important community building work.
